Nidhalaya is a Tamil movie released in 1954 and directed by T. R. Sundarambal and produced by T. R. Sundarambal & Co., Ltd. Starring A.R. Vardhanam, G. R. Panikkar, K. Sarala and Muthukala Vaali in lead roles with Nellitha Raju, P. S. Veerappa, T. R. Sundarambal, G. R. Panikkar, K. Sarala and Muthukala Vaali supporting roles. The film was a blockbuster film of 1954 and it had run for more than 100 days in the theatres everywhere except Madras city . Rathna Kanneer movie was the first film which had Rathnamala dance in Tamil Cinema. She also acted in this film playing the second lead role.
